Quick answer

The Formula 1 Portuguese Grand Prix is on 18–20 June 2027 at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve, Portimão. Tickets are on sale at portugalf1gp.com. The circuit is about 82 km (53 minutes) from Faro Airport and 290 km (2h30) from Lisbon. A pre-booked private transfer is the simplest way to get there and, more importantly, to get home after the race.

F1 returns to Portimão

Six years since the last race here.

Portimão joined the F1 calendar in 2020 and 2021, stepping in during the pandemic. Lewis Hamilton won both races, but both ran with limited or restricted crowds. In 2027 it returns as Round 9 on a deal covering 2027 and 2028, and ticket sellers describe it as the first full-capacity Portuguese Grand Prix at the circuit.

The race lands just before the Algarve's peak summer season, which means warm weather and open beach clubs, but also full hotels and busy roads. It also gives fans a European summer race after Zandvoort leaves the calendar and Barcelona rotates out for 2027.
