The biggest and most complete park in the Algarve, mixing water slides with genuine dry thrill rides — it's the only park in the region with a real roller coaster.

Signature ride

• Watercoaster — Aquashow's headline attraction and the reason many visitors pick this park over the others. An open cart climbs, drops and splashes through a 740-metre track reaching 23.5 metres high at speeds up to 70 km/h, running partly through water sections. Minimum height 1.25m. This draws the longest queue in the park, so ride it first thing in the morning.

Slides

• Mammothblast — a giant multi-rider tube slide, up to five people per float, around 250 metres of track. Minimum height 1.20m.
• Free Fall — twin slides, 32 metres high and 129 metres long, with a steep, near-vertical drop. One of the most intense slides in the park. Minimum height 1.40m.
• Double Twin Space Shuttle — an enclosed dual-track slide, 17 metres high and 178 metres long, with lighting effects inside the tubes. Race a friend down the parallel tracks.
• White Fall — another near-vertical drop slide for thrill-seekers.
• Wild Snake, Riverblast & other tube rides — a range of twisting rubber-ring slides for various ages and comfort levels.

Dry rides

• Top Swing — a rotating pendulum swing seating around 30 people, reaching 12 metres high and tilting to 110°. Loud, fast, and a firm favourite with teenagers.
• Air Race — a topsy-turvy ride adding variety beyond the water attractions.

Pools & relaxation

• Wave Pool — one of the largest in the park, generating waves up to 2 metres.
• Tropical Pool — a rock-lined pool with waterfalls and a 60-person jacuzzi.
• Lazy River — a gentle float loop around the park.

For younger kids

• Aqualandia & Aquakids — colourful shallow-water play zones with mini slides and fountains.
• Mini Train — a small ride-on train for toddlers.

Shows

• Birds of prey — hawks, eagles and owls in a free-flight display over an open arena, around 15 minutes.
• Reptile encounter — a hands-on session with snakes and lizards, around 15 minutes, popular with curious kids.

Good to know: Aquashow also runs an indoor water park, making it the only one of the four that's accessible outside the May–September season.

The smallest and calmest of the four parks — no dry rides, no animal shows, just water. Aqualand groups its attractions into four zones: Adrenaline Fun, Family Fun, Kidzworld, and Chill Out & Play.

Adrenaline Fun

• Kamikaze — Portugal's highest water slide at 36 metres, over in around 4 seconds. The park's signature ride.
• King Cobra — Aqualand's newest and most intense attraction, aimed squarely at thrill-seekers.
• Banzai — a steep, 23-metre vertical-fall slide.
• Hydra — three lanes for single or double floats, built for racing friends.

Family Fun

• Flying Carpet — a mat-based slide, faster than the family tube rides but not as extreme as the Kamikaze.
• Surf Beach — a wave pool with a strong swell machine, designed to feel like riding real sea waves.

Chill out & play

• Semi-Olympic swimming pool — a genuine lap pool, unique among the Algarve's water parks.
• Congo River — a shaded lazy river loop for floating and cooling down.

Kidzworld

• Children's Paradise — two dedicated children's pools with mini slides, a play castle, fountains, and animal-themed features.
• Rainbow Park — a further shallow play zone for younger children.

Good to know: Aqualand is the only one of the four Algarve parks with no live animal shows — if that's a priority for your group, Zoomarine or Slide & Splash will suit better.

Part water park, part zoo, part amusement park — Zoomarine is built around its animal shows first, with water attractions as a strong secondary draw.

Shows

• Dolphin presentation — the headline show. Bottlenose dolphins perform jumps, spins and synchronised routines while trainers narrate conservation messaging. Runs around 25 minutes, several times daily, and draws the biggest crowds in the park — arrive 15 minutes early for a good seat. Front rows get properly splashed.
• Sea lion & seal show — balancing and agility routines with trainers, aimed at entertaining younger children as much as demonstrating the animals' abilities.
• Birds of prey display — hawks, falcons and owls in a free-flight demonstration.
• Pirate acrobatic show — a family-friendly performance mixed in with the animal presentations.
• Dolphin Emotions (paid add-on) — a closer, in-water interaction experience with the dolphins, bookable separately from general admission.

Water attractions

• Zoomarine Beach — a wave pool set against a white-sand "beach," the park's answer to a relaxation zone.
• Water slides — a modest but varied slide selection; not as extreme as Aquashow or Slide & Splash, but enough for a fun afternoon.
• Rapids / Rapid River — a rafting-style ride down a churning river course.
• Splash zones — shallow play areas for the youngest visitors.

Dry attractions

• Jurassic River — an adventure-themed dry ride.
• Aquarium — a walk-through tunnel exhibit with sharks, rays, turtles and tropical fish, spread across more than 20 themed ecosystems.
• 4D Cinema — a short film experience with motion and sensory effects.
• Ferris wheel & pirate ship — classic amusement-park rides not found at the other Algarve parks.

Good to know: Pick up a show timetable at the entrance and plan your slides and pools around it, since the dolphin and sea lion shows run at fixed times.

Running since 1986, Slide & Splash has the widest variety of slides of any Algarve park — over 25 attractions across a hillside site — plus three daily animal shows.

Signature slides

• Kamikaze — two parallel high-incline tracks with no float, riders lie directly on the surface. Built for racing side by side.
• Black Hole — a twisting tunnel slide in complete darkness; you never know when the next turn is coming.
• Tornado — starts in darkness, opens into light effects, then spins riders around a bowl before the final drop.
• Disco River — the only water slide in the Algarve with a built-in soundtrack and lighting show.
• Blue Hole — a blue-lit tunnel slide on a rubber ring.
• Banzai — a fast, headfirst mat slide.

More slides

• Corkscrew, Big Wave, Boomerang, Big Fall, The Tunnel, Drops, Big Slides Tower — a further spread of tube and body slides covering most speed and intensity levels.
• Foam Slides — five side-by-side lanes for group races, plus a smaller version for children.

Pools & relaxation

• Laguna — a large, calm swimming pool for cooling off between slides.
• Spa & jacuzzi area — a separate adult relaxation zone with a heated jacuzzi, fish spa, and massage services.

• Tropical Paradise — a shallow, colourful play zone with mini slides, showers and fountains, built specifically for young children.

Shows

• Birds of prey — hawks and eagles in a free-flight display, daily at 13:00 and 15:30.

Good to know: The park sits in mature, landscaped gardens with large free grass areas for towels — you don't need to pay for a sunbed unless you want the extra comfort.
