Just lose yourself in the local streets, find the beauty of the architectural design of buildings, and enjoy Arade's river mouth, which will lead you to Portimão's Museum, where you'll learn about the old professions related to fishing.
Go for a swim at Praia da Rocha, one of the most well-known beaches in the Algarve.
You'll have to visit Ferragudo, the little fishing village just on the side of the river. Alvor is also around the corner, and besides the fabulous beaches, you can enjoy a skydive if you're feeling a bit more adventurous.
