Sagres is located in the most southwestern point of the Algarve and continental Europe, in the Costa Vicentina National Park. With a breathtaking scenery, stunning beaches and exhilarating coastal walks, this part of the Algarve is very different from the popular Algarve beach resorts between Lagos and Vilamoura.
With countless activities available, this whole area is the best to surf in the Algarve. Windsurfing and kite surfing are also on the menu around here.
When it comes to food, here you will find delicious fresh fish and seafood.
You can choose between some wonderful portuguese restaurants: Retiro do Pescador, Adega dos Arcos, Vila Velha, etc.
Faro Airport is at 1h30 drive and Lagos, the biggest city around, at 30 min, but Vila do Bispo is at only 10 min distance. If your goal is to find a place by the coast, but far from the crowds, you won't find a better spot.
